Lead Cook

At Aramark, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for cooking and preparing food using standard recipes and production guidelines while following food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule and Assign Daily Work Activities: Supervise staff and delegate responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective food preparation.
- Train and Guide Staff: Provide guidance on job duties, standard food safety and sanitation procedures, cooking methods, and equipment operation.
- Cook and Prepare Food: Follow production guidelines and standardized recipes to prepare high-quality food for our guests.
- Set Up Workstation: Ensure all necessary ingredients and equipment are available for efficient food preparation.
- Prepare Ingredients: Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as needed.
- Safely Use Food Utensils: Use knives and other food utensils safely and effectively.
- Operate Equipment: Use ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and other equipment to prepare food.
- Cook and Prepare Food: Use various cooking methods to prepare meats, vegetables, and other foods.
- Arrange and Garnish Food: Present food in an attractive and appealing manner.
- Properly Store Food: Follow food safety policies and procedures to store food safely.
- Clean and Sanitize Work Areas: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
- Follow Safety Policies: Adhere to Aramark's safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation.
- Ensure Security of Company Assets: Protect company assets and maintain a secure work environment.
- Produce and Maintain Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules and production records.

Qualifications:- Previous Supervisor Experience: Preferably in a related role.
- Experience as a Cook: Required.
- Ability to Work Independently: Required.
- Proven Knowledge of Food Preparation: Demonstrated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Food Safety Certification: Required.
- Basic Math and Counting Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform basic math and counting tasks.
- Effective Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
This role may require physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may also be required.
