About the Role:
Cook County Health is seeking a skilled Nocturnist Hospitalist-Attending Physician to join their team in Chicago. As a key member of the hospital's medical staff, this physician will provide high-quality patient care, lead a team of healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient clinical care, including procedural competence in an open ICU setting
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in hospital medicine
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Valid Illinois Controlled Substance License and valid licensure from the Drug Enforcement Administration
- Experience with ventilator management, intubation, and bedside procedures
