Your Responsibilities:
As a Fire Safety Systems Specialist, you will:
- Receive service requests from our Service Resource Center, gaining insights into equipment/system issues.
- Communicate with customer representatives to identify and clarify equipment/system malfunctions.
- Diagnose and perform repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at client locations.

How You Will Achieve This:
- Adhere to established troubleshooting protocols and consult technical manuals, part manuals, and bulletins to resolve equipment issues.
- Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining clear communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements accurately using communication devices like smartphones and laptops.
- Obtain customer signatures upon completion of service tasks.
- Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
- Mentor and train fellow team members.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.

What We Seek:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and operational manuals.
- Familiarity with test equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
- Willingness to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet client needs.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Maintain truck inventory for prompt response to customer requirements.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a quick learning ability.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:
- NICET Level II certification.
