Lead Patient Transfer Coordinator

Job Summary:
OSF HealthCare is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Lead Patient Transfer Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating, leading, and directing the work of other specialists engaged in performing patient and visitor lifts, turns, transfers, and transports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead the work of patient transfer specialists to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
- Assist with department schedules, work assignments, and prioritize department workload via Tele-tracking.
- Ensure maintenance of supplies and equipment, and assist with process analysis and improvements.
- Conduct peer interviews and evaluations, and orient and mentor new staff members.
- Run employee performance and processing time reports, and develop process and performance improvement plans as needed.
- Perform duties of a patient transfer specialist as needed or when workload requires.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old to be considered for the position.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Basic understanding of communication equipment such as pagers, phones, and computers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR Certification
