- Perform X-Rays for Treatment Planning: Capture and record X-rays to accurately locate tumors and aid in the planning of radiation therapy.
- Collect Patient Data: Track and document patient conditions and treatment progress, contributing to the improvement of current therapies or development of new ones.
- Educate Patients: Provide clear information about treatment options, potential side effects, and recovery timelines, ensuring patients are well-informed.
- Provide Emotional Support: Offer compassionate care and psychological support to patients facing cancer or other life-threatening conditions.
- Supervise Technicians: Oversee technicians assisting in administering treatments, ensuring protocols are followed.
- Safety Concerns: Promptly report any safety issues to the appropriate staff to maintain a secure treatment environment.
- Explain Radiation Effects: Clearly communicate the effects of radiation treatment on the patient's health and well-being.
- Educational Background: Minimum requirement of a diploma or associate degree in nursing.
- Certification: Must hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
