Position Overview

The Maintenance Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating maintenance staff while actively engaging in maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Organizes and prioritizes maintenance requests.
  2. Coordinates maintenance and servicing of campus vehicles with a focus on passenger safety.
  3. Ensures the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities, including buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
  4. Monitors and maintains heating and cooling systems for optimal performance.
  5. Maintains appropriate lighting levels across all campus facilities.
  6. Ensures all outdoor lighting is functional at all times.
  7. Supervises daily schedules for maintenance and custodial staff.
  8. Manages leave requests and maintenance records efficiently.
  9. Conducts daily inspections of the campus and oversees litter removal.
  10. Oversees grounds maintenance activities, including landscaping and lawn care.
  11. Ensures proper drainage and cleanliness of outdoor areas.
  12. Maintains equipment by performing routine checks and lubrication.
  13. Periodically cleans and maintains parking areas.
  14. Applies sound judgment in emergency situations.
  15. Coordinates setup for special events.
  16. Identifies and mitigates potential hazards on campus.
General Responsibilities

  2. Maintains professionalism in all interactions.
  3. Provides effective leadership within the college environment.
  4. Communicates clearly and positively in all aspects of the role.
  5. Participates in staff and professional development meetings.
  6. Familiarizes with and adheres to relevant policies and regulations.
  7. Contributes to college committees as needed.
  8. Complies with institutional policies and legal requirements.
  9. Promotes the college positively and fosters integration across campuses.
  10. Demonstrates punctuality and reliability in attendance.
  11. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  2. Three years of relevant experience.
  3. Flexibility in work hours.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Valid driver's license.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Exceptional customer service abilities.
  8. Proficient in operating vehicles and standard office equipment.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  10. Capability to follow instructions in various formats.
  11. Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Certification in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, or related fields.
  2. Previous supervisory experience.
  3. Ability to interpret blueprints.
  4. Mathematical skills for calculations.
