As an Electrician at SpaceX, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and repairing our complex electrical infrastructure, including high-voltage systems, power distribution networks, and electrical components. You will work closely with our team of engineers and technicians to identify and resolve electrical issues, and to implement upgrades and enhancements to our systems. * Repair and replace defective electrical components and systems
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
* Perform preventative repair and maintenance of electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components
* Install enhancements and major upgrades to electrical subsystems
* Perform work from instructions using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
* Test electrical circuits to ensure their operability
* Install electrical components to architectural and code specifications
* Test wiring connections with test equipment like volt/ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes

**Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 3+ years of experience as an electrician
* Experience with high-voltage systems and electrical infrastructure
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
* Ability to lift 35 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

* Experience with SpaceX electrical systems
* Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish assigned work
* Ability to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair various devices
* Ability to use a variety of electrician's hand tools as well as measuring and testing instruments
* Demonstrable knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations, and standards of electrical equipment
* Ability to read and understand technical manuals and reports
* Ability to use precision measuring instruments

**Additional Requirements:**

* 50 hour work weeks on average; schedule varies depending on site operational needs and flexibility required regarding frequent overtime
* Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small openings, climbing hand over hand, lifting 35 pounds, and working on ladders/lifts at elevated heights
