Overview

This role is designed for a skilled multimedia production specialist who will serve as both a videographer and photographer within the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The position is situated in the Digital Services Division, specifically within the Office of Safety Recommendations and Communications. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the senior audiovisual production expert on a diverse range of mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Multimedia Production Specialist, you will undertake the following primary responsibilities:

1. Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of visual communication projects to effectively convey agency messages.

2. Act as the primary videographer and photographer for both internal and external agency events, including critical investigation launches.

3. Serve as the Division's liaison, consulting with project and program managers to ensure a shared understanding of video and photography objectives for product development.

4. Participate as a member of the Go-Team for the Office of Safety Recommendations and Communications, capturing video and still images during launches and investigative activities.

5. Provide technical support for press briefings and conferences, ensuring all events are recorded, edited, and made available on the agency's video platforms.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service, which includes:

- Proficient operation of audiovisual equipment for organizational events.
- Maintenance of a diverse range of audiovisual tools.
- Provision of video streaming support across various organizational needs.
- Experience in multiple aspects of video production.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software for creating professional audiovisual content.
- Management of audiovisual recording equipment setup and operations.
