Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Ranger Clerk. This full-time position will provide critical support to our Ranger Division, handling communications, dispatching services, and various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch Park Rangers to emergencies and assignments, analyzing call situations and making informed decisions.
  • Coordinate Ranger activities, providing and relaying information as needed, and answering inquiries from Rangers.
  • Communicate with support services, including law enforcement agencies, and provide emergency response in accordance with procedures.
  • Operate computer systems to disseminate and document critical information to Park Rangers and authorized personnel.
  • Log data, retrieve information, and verify records from police data computer systems.
  • File and maintain records, including citations, field identification cards, and other documentation.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with Great Parks policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and order supplies for Rangers as needed.
Requirements
  • An appropriate combination of education, training, and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to submit a fingerprint check and pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three days of original appointment.
  • RCIC/LEADS certification, First Aid, CPR, Notary Public, BCII/III, Warrant Entry certifications, or the ability to obtain within one year of employment.
  • State Motor Vehicle Operator's License meeting GPHC current carrier guidelines.
