Job Summary
">Kaiser Permanente is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Sherwood, Oregon. As an integral member of our outpatient physical therapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our patients.
">About the Role
">This full-time position requires 40 hours of work per week, with a standard 8-hour day schedule. You will be responsible for administering high-quality physical therapy services, following established treatment plans and guidelines, to restore function, prevent disability, and return patients to their optimal potential.
">Key Responsibilities
">- ">
- Deliver exceptional physical therapy treatments to patients ranging from geriatric to pediatric age groups, providing and progressing treatment as per treatment plans, physician orders, professional standards, and departmental protocols.">
- Teach patient care classes and groups for specific disorders, as ordered by physicians and in accordance with departmental policies. Participate in patient care clinics, when trained or qualified.">
- Communicate treatment outcomes to evaluating therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless coordination of care.">
- Maintain accurate and detailed chart documentation, adhering to Kaiser Permanente and state license requirements.">
- Demonstrate efficient workflow management skills, utilizing time management techniques to optimize patient treatments, computer proficiency, and electronic tools.">
- Perform duties in a professional manner, demonstrating dependability, flexibility, and teamwork. Maintain professional competency through continuing education, in-services, peer review, and self-evaluation.">
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to departmental standards.">
Qualifications and Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you should possess:

- A Graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, with a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to PTA practice.">
- Successful completion of clinical internships.">
- A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.">
- A valid Physical Therapy Assistant License in the state where care is provided.">
- Basic Life Support certification within two months of hire.">
- Additional requirements include basic skills in PT procedures and treatment, use of modalities, documentation skills, and CPR certification.">
- Preferred qualifications include one year of experience in a comparable clinic setting, knowledge applicable to patient loads at KSMC, and skills in group dynamics and leading classes.">
Compensation and Benefits
