Job Overview

This position offers an opportunity to work as a Physical Therapy Assistant at Kaiser Permanente's Sherwood location in Oregon. The job involves administering quality physical therapy services to restore function, prevent disability, and return patients to their maximal potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients of various ages, providing and progressing treatment as per established plans, physician orders, professional standards, and departmental protocols.
  • Teach patient care classes and groups for specific disorders, as per physician order and departmental policies. Participate in patient care clinics based on specialized training or continuing education.
  • Communicate outcomes to evaluating therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Complete all chart documentation as required by Kaiser Permanente and State License requirements.
  • Demonstrate efficient workflow using time management skills, proficiently utilizing computers and electronic tools.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology appropriate to PTA.
  • Successful completion of clinical internships.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Physical Therapy Assistant License in the state where care is provided.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 2 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of clinic experience in a comparable setting.
  • Knowledge base applicable to patient load at KSMC.
  • Skills in group dynamics and leading classes.
Estimated Salary Range:

$63,440 - $83,104 per annum, depending on experience.
