At Kaiser Permanente, we are seeking a highly skilled Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing quality physical therapy services to patients of all ages.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physical therapy procedures and treatment modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction. You will work closely with physical therapists to develop and implement treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.

This is an ongoing opportunity, working 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts during the day. The preferred candidate will have experience in a clinic setting, with a focus on outpatient orthopedics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality physical therapy treatments to patients, following established treatment plans and physician orders.
  • Teach patient education classes and groups, focusing on specific disorders and conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with evaluating therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, adhering to Kaiser Permanente's standards and state licensing requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to PTA practice.
  • Successful completion of clinical internships.
  • A Physical Therapy Assistant License in the state where care is provided.
  • BLS certification within 2 months of hire.
