About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Sherwood, Oregon.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to administer quality physical therapy services and restore function in patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality physical therapy treatments to patients ranging from geriatric to pediatric age groups.
  • Progress treatment plans as per physician orders, professional standards, and departmental protocols.
  • Teach patient care classes and groups for specific disorders as per physician order and departmental policies.
  • Communicate outcomes to evaluating therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Complete all chart documentation as outlined by Kaiser Permanente and State License requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Successful completion of clinical internships.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Physical Therapy Assistant License in the state where care is provided.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 2 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a comparable clinic setting.
  • Knowledge base applicable to patient load at KSMC.
  • Skills in group dynamics and leading classes.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $62,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
