Job Title: Technical Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Representative to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our client's roofing business in San Antonio, TX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and team members to understand project objectives and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Strengthen client relationships and support business development efforts through proactive communication and relationship-building.
  • Manage and expand the client portfolio by engaging with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and respond to invitations to bid and requests for proposals (RFPs) to ensure accurate and timely responses.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of Notice to Proceed letters (NTPs) and contract scopes and pricing to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings, compiling project notes, RFIs, and scope details to inform estimation and sales strategies.
  • Perform measurements and verify dimensions, conducting test cuts when necessary to ensure accurate estimates and proposals.
  • Utilize cutting-edge Edge Estimating Software for precise take-offs and estimates to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic analysis of processes, staff, and materials to drive business growth and development.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals and cost estimates based on thorough data analysis and research to inform business decisions.
  • Participate in financial analysis upon job completion to ensure accurate tracking of performance metrics and drive business growth.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED; a degree in Business or Construction Management is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing sales.
  • Proficiency in project management and estimation for large, complex commercial roofing projects.
  • Understanding of the current market, top competitors, and a robust network of potential prospects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create forecasts based on financial data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proven ability to expand market share and strong networking skills.
  • Previous experience estimating with Edge Estimating Software preferred.
  • Willingness to travel locally and occasionally throughout the state of Texas.
