Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage salaried staff, including general managers, to achieve overall financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive employee relations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for franchisees, owners, and general managers in assigned hotels.

  • Collaborate with hotel teams to set high standards for guest service and ensure that hotels meet or exceed company and brand standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to hotel associates and leadership teams to ensure effective workload management and self-management.
  • Ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and business planning in collaboration with hotel sales teams.
  • Work with revenue managers and sales teams to implement sales strategies and achieve maximum revenue potential.
  • Oversee hotel expenses to maximize profitability and ensure effective labor management.
  • Utilize procurement systems effectively and adhere to approved vendor networks for purchasing.
  • Share revenue forecasts with leadership teams to adjust departmental expenses accordingly.
  • Manage and maintain company assets within budget guidelines and prolong the life of company resources.
  • Support and encourage ongoing training and development of hotel leaders and associates.
  • Ensure new hire training effectively prepares new employees for their positions.
  • Analyze current training programs and adjust as needed.
  • Implement new training initiatives in a timely manner.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing hotel management teams.
  • Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews in a timely manner.
  • Address performance issues and take corrective action to hold employees accountable.
  • Motivate hotel staff by setting goals, providing feedback, and recognizing employees.
  • Effectively address areas for improvement determined by annual associate opinion surveys.
  • Ensure annual associate turnover falls within acceptable guidelines and react to any turnover concerns.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to hotel associates and leadership teams to ensure their workloads are appropriate and managed effectively.
  • Demonstrate clear written and verbal skills.
  • Promote a productive, professional, and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure departmental/hotel meetings are happening regularly to foster proper communication and planning.
  • Assist in conducting routine inspections of hotel operations/buildings to maintain standards of company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Understand the importance of handling guest and employee accidents/incidents in a timely and effective manner while following company policy.
  • Assist in promoting corporate safety programs and initiatives.
