Job Title: Water Services Worker 04

Job Summary:

The Water Services Worker 04 is a critical role in the operation and maintenance of the water supply system. As a crewmember, this position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled basic assignments under the guidance of a journeyman worker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic manual, recurring, and semiskilled tasks.
  • Assists with preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement of mains and service lines.
  • Cleans and restores work sites after jobs are completed to ensure a safe and acceptable condition.
  • Assists in the setup of traffic control, directing traffic, arranging safety blocks, and safety signals.
  • Operates Authority vehicles and maintains them in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Reports any operating deficiencies to the appropriate Authority personnel.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by the immediate Foreman.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operating License.
  • Able to work shift work, holidays, and weekends, on-call during scheduled hours, and overtime during emergencies.
  • Able to work in extreme cold/hot temperatures (indoors/outdoors), water-filled and muddy ditches, and noisy environments.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
