Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

The Beirne B. Carter Center for Immunology Research and the Precision ImmunoMedicine (iPRIME) Initiative at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Coordinator to become a key member of the Prominence-to-Preeminence (P2PE) STEM initiative titled "iPRIME: Immunology and Informatics for Precision ImmunoMedicine (iPRIME) in Cardiovascular Disease."

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with world-renowned Principal Investigators and research team members to conduct clinical trials.
  • Conduct consenting of research subjects, collect study data, and manage patient databases.
  • Prepare study documentation and ensure compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintain quality management of the trial portfolio.
  • Recruit, screen, and enroll study participants who meet research criteria.
  • Collect basic information through scripted and non-scripted interviews.
  • Plan and execute tasks, including organizational and planning tasks.
  • Develop excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Obtain informed consent from study participants and maintain telephone and in-person contact.
  • Collect subject data, including database management, maintaining appropriate logs, tracking participants, and preparing study materials.
  • Process, prepare, and ship laboratory specimens.
Requirements:
  • Clinical Research Coordinator 1, Non-Licensed: Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or certifications.
  • Clinical Research Coordinator 1, Licensed: Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or certifications. Nursing Diploma may substitute for Degree for Licensed Registered Nurse.
  • Clinical Research Coordinator 2, Non-Licensed: Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or certifications.
  • Clinical Research Coordinator 2, Licensed: Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or certifications. Nursing Diploma may substitute for Degree for Licensed Registered Nurse.
Physical Demands:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. It occasionally requires traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.

Position Compensation Range:

$42,000 - $68,000
