Key Responsibilities
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food to meet business needs.
  • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and flavor.
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction and demonstrations as needed.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a management role.
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems.
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills.
