Asian Art Museum Admissions Coordinator

The Asian Art Museum is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Admission Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our registration division, you will play a critical role in supporting the museum's collections management and exhibition programs.
Key Responsibilities- Sell, distribute, and collect tickets, passes, membership, audio tour, and other products to patrons of Park & Recreation and museum facilities.
- Operate a cash register or computerized system to register sale transactions and manage cash handling.
- Prepare deposits by summarizing all receipts on a daily basis and preparing forms for banking.
- Provide excellent customer service and information to patrons, responding to requests for directions and information about facilities and fees.
- Assist with crowd control, count visitors, and verify admission receipts.
- Maintain inventory of admission tickets, audio sets, and other products.
- Check and ensure automated systems are functioning properly.
- One year (2000 hours) of verifiable experience as an admission attendant, cashier, or comparable position.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
$22.23 per hour. This is a temporary exempt appointment with limited hours (up to 1040 hours per fiscal year).
