Position: Senior Welding Technician

Department: Pipe Maintenance

Location: Massachusetts Water Resources Authority

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is in search of a Senior Welding Technician to oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of critical structural elements associated with vehicles, workshop machinery, and steel water pipelines. The responsibilities encompass:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of vehicle and equipment structural components to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Installing pipe and valve restraints along with pipe supports to ensure operational integrity.
  • Executing welding, grinding, and cutting tasks while performing essential repairs on MWRA's steel water pipelines, tanks, and access hatches.

This role necessitates a high school diploma or GED, complemented by a one (1) year certificate from a college or technical institution. Candidates should possess three (3) to six (6) years of experience in welding, grinding, and cutting within automotive and heavy machinery sectors, along with a valid driver's license.
