Position: Senior Welding Technician

Department: Pipe Maintenance

Location: Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is looking for a dedicated Senior Welding Technician to oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of essential structural components associated with vehicles, equipment, and steel water pipelines. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Installing restraints and supports for pipes and valves to ensure structural integrity.
  • Executing welding, grinding, and cutting tasks as required.
  • Performing repairs on steel water mains, tanks, and access hatches.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A one-year certificate from a recognized technical or vocational institution.
  • Three to six years of hands-on experience in welding, grinding, and cutting within automotive and heavy equipment sectors.
  • A valid driver's license.
