Position Overview:
As an Anesthesia Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the surgical team, ensuring high-quality patient care under the supervision of the department manager. This position involves assisting anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and operating room staff in various patient care tasks as directed by the attending medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute procedures and monitor various physiological functions using a range of medical devices and techniques.
2. Maintain effective inventory levels and contribute to cost-efficient supply management strategies.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in:
- Invasive monitoring device calibration and troubleshooting
- Arterial line and PA catheter setup and assistance
- Cardiac output monitoring
- ECG attachment and troubleshooting
- Point-of-care testing
- Autologous blood recovery systems
- Directional Doppler and other relevant equipment
4. Uphold infection control standards by ensuring the cleanliness and proper use of non-disposable equipment, including timely changes of indwelling catheters and lines.

Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:
- Associate's Degree
- Minimum of one year of experience in anesthesia technology or similar clinical roles involving direct patient interaction.

Additional Information:
This position may require weekend availability and the ability to work day shifts during an initial orientation period.
