Position Overview

The Research Security Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the National Industrial Security Programs (NISP). This position involves providing expert guidance on various security protocols, including Personnel Security and Classified Material Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of the National Industrial Security Program
  • Facilitate the annual self-inspection program to ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Drive initiatives for process improvements within the security framework
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training
  • 8-10 years of pertinent experience in security management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated management capabilities and technical expertise
  • Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, or completion of two years of college coursework

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Familiarity with the DoD National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual
  • Proficient in JPAS, ISFD, SIMS, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • This role includes supervisory responsibilities
  • No financial oversight is required
  • Position requires a high level of trust
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is essential
