The Richmond Group USA is conducting a search for a Quality Manager for a prominent manufacturer of specialized materials utilized by major players in various sectors, including automotive, aerospace, defense, and composites. This organization is at the forefront of innovation, consistently enhancing their technical capabilities to foster new business opportunities and refine existing technologies.

The successful candidate will exhibit enthusiasm and extensive expertise in quality management frameworks. You will oversee quality assurance and quality control teams at the facility, ensuring that Quality Control systems align with both client and organizational standards. Key responsibilities encompass managing customer complaints and corrective action responses, spearheading quality issue investigations and resolutions, and overseeing customer claims, returns, and credit approvals.

Your responsibilities will also include the development of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and control data tools, providing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, and supervising all Quality Assurance systems, including Product Change Requests (PCRs), Calibration, and Corrective Action Requests (CARs). Clear communication of quality performance to manufacturing teams is essential to facilitate corrective actions and ongoing enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in a highly regulated sector (aerospace, automotive, defense, etc.)
  • Robust background in quality systems (AS9100 Lead Auditor or ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor preferred)
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage and coordinate projects and personnel.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
