Clinical Office Coordinator

**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Office Coordinator to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our clinical support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Family Practice Clinic.
**About the Role:
This part-time position involves performing various front and back office clerical duties to support assigned areas, including collecting patient data, obtaining medical history, and coordinating appointments.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Collect patient information, obtain medical histories, and perform treatment procedures as required.
- Maintain a sanitary work area, including patient care rooms, equipment, and instruments.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, verify medical coverage, and answer phone calls as needed.
- Administer medication under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Provide quality customer service and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
**Requirements:
- High School or GED equivalent.
- Completion of an MA accredited program or 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification within 30 days.
- Valid CMA, RMA, AMT, AAMA, NRCMA, CCMA, or other recognized Medical Assistant certification.
**Working Conditions:**
This role requires heavy physical exertion, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and frequent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) due to chemical and bio-hazardous materials exposure.
The selected candidate will be required to rotate shifts, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
**Estimated Salary:**
$45,000 - $55,000 per year.
