ROLE DEFINITION

The primary objective is to oversee Zaxby's locations to achieve set sales and profitability targets while adhering to the company's core values and policies. The focus is on driving revenue growth.

SUPERVISORY STRUCTURE

This role reports directly to the General Manager and receives guidance from various management levels including the Organizational Training Manager, District Manager, and Director of Operations. This position includes direct oversight of 2-4 Shift Managers and a team of 15-50 employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core responsibilities may encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Enhancing sales through exceptional product quality and customer service.
  • Working flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, to ensure high standards of food and service.
  • Assisting in the training and development of Team Members and Shift Managers.
  • Managing inventory by purchasing food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards.
  • Implementing daily operational systems to maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, ready to deliver quality service.
  • Adhering to established performance, profit, and operational standards as outlined in company manuals.
  • Motivating and supervising Team Members and Shift Managers to achieve their highest potential.
  • Possessing a thorough understanding of all equipment and ensuring preventive maintenance is conducted.
  • Maintaining exemplary service standards throughout the operational day by demonstrating leadership qualities.
  • Utilizing management tools to keep accurate records that provide insights for planning sales and profit growth.
  • Executing marketing strategies timely and accurately to foster repeat customer visits.
  • Communicating transparently with team members and management regarding plans, progress, and challenges.
  • Exhibiting leadership by fostering enthusiasm, a positive mindset, and commitment to company goals.
  • Creating a supportive and engaging work atmosphere.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Focusing on maximizing sales and profitability.
  • Maintaining a flexible approach to work that allows for exceeding the expectations of this role.
  • Committing to a flexible schedule, including at least one opening, closing, and mid-shift each week.
  • Working a minimum of 50 hours per week.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensuring physical fitness necessary for the execution of assigned duties, which may involve:
Extended periods of walking, standing, or sitting
  • Maintaining effective audio-visual skills required for:
Observation, communication, reading, and writing

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:

□ Education:
High school diploma or equivalent experience
□ At least 1 year of management experience in a restaurant setting
□ Minimum of 6 months employment with Zaxby's and ZFL certification
□ Successful completion of all ZFL required management assessments within 90 days of employment

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Office setting; interaction with computers and office equipment
  • Restaurant setting; engagement with advanced kitchen and front-of-house operational equipment; exposure to hazardous conditions.
