About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping instruments in an organized manner and monitor instrument counts throughout procedures.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
