The Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at the Everett Health Center Adult Family department. This is a Per Diem On Call position, requiring flexibility with scheduling and a willingness to work various shifts. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient care experiences by handling all calls, registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all incoming calls promptly and professionally, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues efficiently
  • Register new patients and schedule appointments using Epic, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up
  • Verify insurance eligibility for patients using PASSPORT, ensuring compliance with billing and reimbursement requirements
  • Maintain and update electronic and paper medical records, adhering to HIPAA standards and confidentiality guidelines
  • Process co-pays, reconcile daily receipts, and identify errors in billing, working closely with finance teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Support direct patient care providers with correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and written communications
  • Participate in planned care teams, attending meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience working in an outpatient medical setting, preferably with a Planned Care Team
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole are highly valued
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $18.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
