Customer Service Representative

About the Role:
As a Customer Service Representative with Optum, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care and support. This part-time role requires 18 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. occasional overtime may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound calls in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist the Point Team in submitting daily requests for referrals and authorizations.
- Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments and tests according to office protocols.
- Meet or exceed performance measures established by the Practice Management Department.
- Deliver high-quality customer service that aligns with Optum's service standards.
- Work with multiple service lines to assist patients with appointments, medication refills, and insurance updates.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure completeness of documentation for referrals and authorizations.
- Assemble patient information for referral purposes.
- Serve as a point of contact for patients with questions and concerns.
- Ensure all work is performed according to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Provide exceptional care and service to patients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Skilled in problem-solving and able to listen effectively.
- Familiarity with computer applications, including Windows PC.
- Ability to work during normal business hours, with occasional overtime as needed.
