Key Responsibilities:

  • Design process systems that range from straightforward to intricate.
  • Prepare and present process design outputs, including hydraulic calculations, heat and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, selection of process instrumentation, piping materials, and equipment, as well as conducting process safety studies and relief device evaluations.
  • Oversee project workflows involving engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Engage and collaborate with clients, vendors, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage project scope changes, identify potential risks, and collaborate with Discipline Managers and Project Managers to formulate contingency strategies.
  • Participate in construction services, including field verification, site observation reports, responses to RFIs, and review of submissions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. A BSME is acceptable if relevant experience in process engineering is demonstrated.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with project delivery methodologies and stage gate execution.
  • Experience in delivering projects using AutoCAD and Revit, and coordinating integrated designs with tools such as NavisWorks.
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in the architectural/engineering (A/E) sector, particularly in specialty chemicals, heavy industry, and manufacturing.
  • Willingness to travel, as this role may require on-site engagement with clients.
  • Capability and readiness to access elevated platforms via plant stairs and ladders at client locations.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficient technical writing skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned projects.
