Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Deployment Technician to join our team at Strategic Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for the installation and deployment of desktop applications and peripherals, ensuring seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure desktop applications and peripherals, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of deployed machines, including patches, features, and permissions.
  • Assist in data migration, identify and resolve issues, and maintain the accuracy of deployed machines.
  • Image and reimage new and existing desktops, laptops, and other devices, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Utilize Active Directory to manage user records, profiles, and access permissions.
  • Assist with deploying workstations and PCs, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Design and implement Windows workstation settings, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Oversee system profiles and ensure accurate information is maintained.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to system tasks and end-client support.
  • Communicate effectively with end-clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Ensure all computers and peripherals are secure, with the correct software installed and configured.
  • Manage image files and inventories, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with imaging, deploying machines, and troubleshooting is essential.
  • Fault-finding and problem-solving skills in a network environment are critical.
  • Well-versed in building and setting up desktop computer systems, including hardware and software configurations.
  • Conduct recovery and preventive maintenance procedures, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Run diagnostic or repair routines, providing technical assistance as needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Applications is required.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop deployment, IT infrastructure, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Physical ability to move computer equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel required to other locations, with occasional overtime.

This is a physical role that requires unencumbered mobility throughout the facility. Travel is required to other locations, and overtime is occasionally required.
