We are seeking a highly skilled Boiler Engineer - Plant Operations Specialist to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, including steam boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, and emergency generators.
- Inspect and maintain building automation systems, pneumatic tube systems, and other critical infrastructure.
- Install new electrical and mechanical equipment as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with facilities management and other teams to ensure seamless operation of our facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize system performance and reduce downtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or apprenticeship experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or commercial plant operations, or completion of the UnityPoint Health-Des Moines Facilities Apprenticeship program.
- Valid driver's license and First Class Engineer license required.
- CHF Tech Certification a plus.
