AVIATION INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER
We are seeking a skilled Aviation Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in airfield engineering, including the design and development of runways, taxiways, aprons, vehicle service roads, and airfield lighting systems. This role is essential to our team at Aspen Technical Staffing.
The key responsibilities of this position encompass:
- Creating detailed civil design and construction documentation for airfield projects
- Collaborating with planning and design teams, contractors, and sub-consultants on various projects
- Delivering aviation-related civil design, planning, and construction support for both General Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports
- Overseeing all phases of airport engineering projects, including the design and implementation of runways, taxiways, and related infrastructure
- Engaging in projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, and construction administration
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams of design engineers and technicians
- Managing AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D design tasks
- Analyzing GIS data, as-built drawings, survey information, geotechnical reports, and other critical data for project execution
- Supervising multiple concurrent projects while maintaining positive client relationships
- Coordinating with clients, funding bodies, aviation authorities, and local permitting agencies
- Conducting regular site assessments during the design and construction phases of airport improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or Open Roads Designer
Experience in civil site development or airfield design and construction
Engineer Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification, preferably in the State of Iowa.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Relocation assistance is available for this position.
Compensation will be determined based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $120,000.
