Position Overview
The Team Leader ED Patient Registration Representative will play a vital role in interacting with patients and families, ensuring a seamless registration process. This individual will accurately perform administrative duties required for patient registration, possess a deep understanding of insurance and associated standard work processes, and serve as a mentor for registration representative peers, assisting with training new employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients presenting to the emergency department with medical emergencies, including cardiac complaints, stroke symptoms, traumas, and other emergencies.
- Initiate registration at the welcome desk in the lobby and complete registration in the patient's room after the patient has seen a care provider.
- Work closely with clinical staff to help patients receive care as efficiently as possible.
Requirements
- 2 Years of experience in healthcare registration required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Not applicable for licensure/certification requirements.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
- Weekend requirements: as needed.
- Call requirements: as needed.
