Position Overview:

The Therapist role at Youth Town of Tennessee is designed for a dedicated professional to provide essential mental health services to adolescents aged 13 to 17. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and Christ-centered environment.

Established in 1962, Youth Town is a recognized residential treatment facility, accredited by the Joint Commission, specializing in substance abuse and mental health treatment for youth. Our organization operates with a mission to support both boys and girls in their recovery journeys.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of up to eight adolescents, ensuring all documentation and treatment plans are meticulously maintained.
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions weekly and facilitate bi-weekly family counseling.
  • Lead group therapy sessions as per the established schedule.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through feedback and supervision.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Clinical Counseling. Licensing as a Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with MHSP or as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred. Unlicensed candidates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.


Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 12 months of counseling experience in either a substance abuse or mental health setting, particularly with adolescents, is required. Candidates should have completed most of the necessary supervision hours toward licensure.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience, ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 annually. A comprehensive benefits package is included.


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
