Position Overview:

The Youth Town of Tennessee is seeking a dedicated therapist to join our team. This role involves providing essential mental health and substance abuse services to adolescents aged 13-17. The therapist will manage a caseload of up to eight young individuals, ensuring comprehensive care and support.

Established in 1962, Youth Town is a Christ-centered, Joint Commission accredited facility specializing in residential treatment for adolescents facing substance abuse and mental health challenges. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment for both boys and girls, fostering recovery and personal growth.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including progress reports and treatment notes.
  • Engage in family counseling sessions bi-weekly.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss clinical progress and strategies.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: A Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Clinical Counseling is required.

Licensing: Candidates must possess a Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor/MHSP or Licensed Clinical Social Worker certification. Unlicensed applicants with relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience: A minimum of 12 months in counseling within a substance abuse or mental health setting, preferably with adolescents, is essential. Candidates should have completed most supervision hours necessary for licensure.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience, ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 annually. A comprehensive benefits package is included.


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, requiring availability Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
