The Therapist role at Youth Town of Tennessee is designed for professionals with a Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Clinical Counseling. This position involves providing therapeutic services to adolescents aged 13 to 17, focusing on both mental health and substance abuse challenges.
About Youth Town of Tennessee:
Established in 1962, Youth Town is a Christ-Centered, Joint Commission accredited facility dedicated to treating adolescents with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. Our organization operates with a commitment to excellence, supported by a robust funding model including treatment fees, donations, and community events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of up to eight adolescents, conducting individual and group therapy sessions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including progress reports and treatment notes.
- Facilitate family counseling sessions and engage in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
- Provide feedback and collaborate with team members to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Clinical Counseling. Candidates with a Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor/MHSP or Licensed Clinical Social Worker designation are preferred. Unlicensed applicants with relevant experience in mental health or substance abuse counseling are also encouraged to apply.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 12 months of counseling experience in a substance abuse or mental health setting, preferably with adolescents, is required. Candidates should have completed most of the required supervision hours toward licensure.

This is a full-time, in-person position that requires successful completion of background checks.
