Grote Auto - Rockford is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for leading our team of service technicians and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Vehicle Pick-up Efforts: Coordinate with auto service porters and customers to ensure seamless vehicle pick-up and delivery.
- Document Management: Accurately file all automotive documents, including maintenance records, invoices, repair orders, and more.
- Scheduling: Schedule appointments for service technicians to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize wait times.
- Warranty and Service Contract Management: Verify warranty protections, review service contract coverage, create cost estimates, and all other documentation to facilitate vehicle service work.
- Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and make follow-up calls to ensure a positive service center experience.
Requirements:
- Problem-Solving and Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other fundamental programs.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working as a service technician or in a service department is highly desirable.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid, state-issued driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
