Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Media Preparation: Responsible for the preparation of microbiological media for internal food testing.
  2. Inventory Management: Maintain a well-stocked inventory of both prepared and commercially available microbiological media formats to facilitate testing processes.
  3. Sample Management: Coordinate the proper disposal of samples following results entry.
  4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate autoclave records associated with the preparation and disposal of routine analyses.

Analytical Support:

  1. Conduct microbiological analyses on food ingredients, finished products, and environmental samples.
  2. Perform plating for hygiene indicators and molecular testing for foodborne pathogens.
  3. Assist with sample preparation and receiving as necessary.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, or a related discipline is required, along with 2-3 years of experience in food microbiology testing. Alternatively, candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience without a degree will also be considered.
