About This RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Strategy & Business Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and managing financial forecasts, driving annual and quarterly planning, allocating resources efficiently, and partnering across the team to spearhead strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement an integrated business planning process across all functions, including financial forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning.
- Spearhead strategic initiatives to improve processes and efficiency in the organization, with a focus on operations.
- Create and maintain SOPs for business operations, ensuring systems and processes run smoothly to achieve quality output and uniformity of performance.
- Oversee the relationship with our outsourced accounting firm, effectively coordinating the delivery of all accounting and financial reports, reviewing incoming invoices, and ensuring compliance with select company policies.
- Partner with external counsel to oversee multiple aspects of compliance, ensuring we operate safely and mindfully in regards to various state, federal, and international laws.
- Collaborate with functional leaders (sales, marketing, product) to identify, advance, and support cross-company strategic programs that improve Kira's market position and operating effectiveness.
- 12+ years of experience in strategy & operations, private equity investment banking, venture capital, or management consulting, with a comfort level in operating in a fast-paced environment and handling ambiguity.
- An ability to oscillate easily from strategic considerations to tactical execution.
- Master problem solver with a keen attention to detail and strong emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and professional maturity.
- Expert proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
