The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing an accounting group for assigned departments, overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of one or more accounting systems, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue reconciliation, and cash flows in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an accounting group for assigned departments, overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of one or more accounting systems.
  • Design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure the integrity of data produced in systems and ensure accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and revenue.
  • Participate in annual audits and special projects.
  • May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure record keeping of historical purposes.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting operation.
  • Create operating plans, forecasts, and reporting systems.
  • Support the Finance Director with budget preparation, submittal, and administration.
  • Support the Finance Director in developing organizational structure and selecting, developing, and managing staff.
  • Establish internal processes, interpret and apply organizational policies, and provide input into policy and strategy.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, equipment maintenance, and other asset-related functions and approve purchase/supply orders and expense accounts, as approved by the Finance Director.
  • Prepare account reconciliations (reconciling high-volume accounts).
  • Assist with year-end close out.
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong accounting theory and GAAP knowledge.
  • Leadership and motivational skills.
  • Skill in identifying operating issues and developing solutions.
  • Highly developed skill operating MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
