About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director for our AI/ML, Analysis and Computing Platforms products at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our Onyx Research Data Platform organization, you will be responsible for developing the product strategy of our AI/ML Analysis and Computing platform to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for our AI/ML Platform product, aligning with Onyx's overall goals and objectives.
  2. Roadmap Development: Define and prioritize features, enhancements, and functionalities for the platform based on user analysis, customer feedback, and business requirements.
  3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, AI/ML, and portfolio teams to ensure successful product development and deployment.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and incorporate it into product planning and development processes.
  5. Product Launch: Plan and oversee product launches, ensuring effective communication, documentation, and training to drive product adoption and success.
  6. Performance Measurement: Define key product metrics, establish monitoring systems, and regularly evaluate and report on the performance and success of the AI/ML platform.
  7. Product Ambassador: Serve as an ambassador of the AI/ML platform, effectively communicating its value and benefits to GSK Research and Development leadership and identifying potential customers.
  8. Industry Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest advancements and trends in AI, machine learning, and compute platforms, applying industry knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  9. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree: In Life Sciences, Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI, or related discipline.
  2. Experience: 4+ years of experience with bioinformatics/genomics databases, biological datasets, biotech or Pharma R&D.
  3. Cloud-based AI model development services: 2+ years of experience with cloud-based AI model development services, or product management.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Masters or PhD: In related field.
  2. Biological AI research: Strong understanding of biological AI research and model development.
  3. Product management tools: Strong proficiency in utilizing various product management tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  4. Enterprise AI/ML platform experience: Prior product management experience of enterprise AI/ML platform is strongly preferred.
