About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Blood Collection Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the success of our blood donation program by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the donation process.
  • Collaborate with your team to transport and set up equipment at collection sites, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the quality and safety of the blood donations collected.
  • Communicate effectively with donors, answering their questions and addressing their concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet and exceed collection goals, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • DOT certification may be required in some locations; if required, must pass applicable DOT physical and related requirements.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
