Role Summary: KCB Bank is in search of an Agricultural and Commercial Lending Specialist who will be primarily tasked with the production, management, and profitability of agricultural and commercial loans. This role emphasizes the expansion of our loan portfolio by attracting new clientele while overseeing existing accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and oversee the current loan portfolio to ensure effective risk management and maximize profitability in accordance with established banking policies.
  • Proactively identify and cultivate new commercial banking relationships through community engagement, networking, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current lending regulations and policies, ensuring compliance and application in daily operations.
  • Assist clients with inquiries and provide resolutions to issues related to commercial loan products and services.
  • Work diligently to maintain a high-quality loan portfolio with minimal delinquency, participating in collection processes as necessary.
  • Continuously seek to enhance knowledge in all operational areas of the bank.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in all essential duties. A background in agricultural and commercial banking is required, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree or relevant lending experience is preferred. Work experience will be taken into consideration.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong leadership capabilities are essential, including problem-solving, active listening, reliability, empathy, team collaboration, creativity, and adaptability. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of agricultural and commercial lending practices, as well as proficiency in word processing and database management software. Knowledge of financial institution operations, including lending and regulatory compliance, is crucial.
