Job Summary

The University of Kansas Hospital is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate/Clinical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing skills, including vital signs, pulse oximetry, and finger stick blood glucose.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Collect and record patient data, including intake and output, and vital signs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean patient environment, including high fall risk interventions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on fall and safety precautions.
  • Notify the RN of any changes in patient condition or needs.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 18 months of experience in a healthcare setting
