Key Responsibilities

As a Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with our Food Services Manager to oversee food preparation, scheduling, and quality assurance for all food and supplies. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing production/service and inventory documents prior to each meal.
  • Managing records such as service plans, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery.
  • Conducting orientation and training programs for kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and monitoring equipment maintenance.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college credits or technical training are preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with the facility's recipes, policies, and procedures.
  • One year of prior experience in managing or quantity food production in a commercial, military, or institutional setting is advantageous. Previous correctional food service training is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in using computers and relevant software typically utilized in the department.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.; sit.
  • Occasionally: Lift, carry, push/pull up to 60 lbs. (sometimes more); bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level, climb, walk, and stand.
