Key Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory care procedures as dictated by patient needs and physician orders, adhering to established protocols.
  • Assess and promote optimal respiratory health for assigned patients through thorough evaluations and therapy recommendations.
  • Perform airway management and emergency resuscitation as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate patient care plans with healthcare teams, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Adjust and maintain respiratory equipment, providing guidance on its use to other healthcare professionals.
  • Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Evaluate and manage patient pain effectively, utilizing appropriate interventions.
  • Exhibit clinical proficiency in patient care practices.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, fostering a collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through educational opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within the first month of employment.
  • State certification as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Associate Degree in a relevant field.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
