The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior R&D Engineer to join our Structural Heart Division, focusing on designing and developing implanted medical devices and delivery systems. This role will involve:

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing catheter-based devices and accessories.
  • Conducting test method development, build and bench testing, design of test fixtures, design analysis, and documentation.
  • Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, including those from Abbott, FDA, ISO, and other relevant bodies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve product development goals.
  • Providing technical direction to machinists/technicians and offering constructive feedback to engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience in Research & Development, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Pay Range: $72,700 - $145,300
