Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team at the Electric Boat location in Groton, CT. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support and independent oversight of work associated with installation, testing, and modification of reactor plant systems, components, and safety systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engineering support and oversight of work associated with reactor plant systems, components, and safety systems
- Work independently to ensure safe and reliable operation of reactor plant systems
- Collaborate with Navy personnel, shipyard engineering, and partner organizations to achieve project goals
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to resolve problems and improve performance
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science-related field and 2 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in engineering or science-related field and 1 year of relevant experience
- Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program
- SRE qualified
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in applying innovative solutions to resolve problems/improve performance
- Prior Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program operational or design experience
- Strong leadership and mentoring ability
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities
