Job DescriptionWe are seeking an entry-level engineer to join our Fleet Reactor Engineering Team, where you will lead evaluations of reactor operations and transients, developing analytical skills that support our mission and keep the public and environment safe.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain an integrated understanding of how different reactor designs operate, while working productively and efficiently with a team of knowledgeable professionals to document different analyses and communicate results to coworkers, managers, and Naval Reactors.
Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillA bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or a science-related field is required, or a master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or a science-related field.
Preferred SkillsThermal analysis experience, heat transfer knowledge, fluids knowledge, Matlab knowledge, and Python knowledge are preferred.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $62,000 to $94,900 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits, disability, life, and accident insurance, 401(k) savings program, and capital accumulation plan.
